PYB02 PANATAS Part-Baked 6 Pack Custard Tarts recalled over undeclared hazelnut, milk and other allergens
Aldi is recalling PYB02 PANATAS Part-Baked 6 pack custard tarts because they contain egg, milk and wheat (gluten), and may contain hazelnuts, sesame and soya which are not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to egg, and/or an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, and/or an allergy to nuts and/or an allergy to sesame and/or an allergy to soya, and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, or for anyone with coeliac disease.
What to do now
PYB02 PANATAS Part-Baked 6 Pack Custard Tarts contains hazelnut, milk, egg, sesame, gluten and soya, but this is not shown correctly on the label. That makes it a possible health risk for anyone who is allergic to or intolerant of hazelnut, milk, egg, sesame, gluten and soya.
- If you are allergic to or intolerant of hazelnut, milk, egg, sesame, gluten and soya, do not eat it.
- Make sure children, carers and anyone you shop for know not to eat it.
- You can return it to Aldi for your money back.
- Only the packs listed below are affected, so check your pack before throwing it away.
Why it matters. Tree nuts include almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios, Brazil nuts and macadamias. People allergic to one type often avoid them all.
Symptoms and when to get help

Get help urgently
- swelling of the tongue or throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing, wheezing, feeling faint, or collapse — use an adrenaline auto-injector if you have one and call 999, saying it is anaphylaxis

Getting your money back
Recalled food can be returned to the shop it came from for a full refund. Supermarkets and most independent shops do this without a receipt, because the recall applies to the product, not to your purchase.
If you bought it online or on a delivery, contact the retailer through your account or customer services and tell them the product is under an FSA recall.
