Summary

Product Safety Report for Candle Warmer Lamp, TL-167 presenting a serious risk of electric shock.

The risk

The product presents a serious risk of electric shock because it was found to contain single-insulated mains wiring that is in contact with accessible unearthed metallic parts. The insulation also broke down below the level required for Class II equipment. Under fault conditions, this means accessible metal parts of the lamp could become live. If a user were to touch these metallic parts during use, they could receive an electric shock. The product was also supplied without adequate instructions and safety information, including required cord replacement instructions.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
