What to do now

The hazard with Home Bargains Happy Easter Plush Toys 25cm is suffocation or asphyxiation.

  1. Take it out of the cot or pram now, and put your baby to sleep on their back on a firm, flat surface.
  2. Keep it away from babies and young children.
  3. Follow the corrective action in the notice: a refund, repair or replacement from Home Bargains.
  4. If someone has been hurt or the product has failed, report it to Trading Standards through the Citizens Advice consumer service.

Why it matters. Babies cannot move away from something covering their face. Pillows, padded sleeping bags and soft items in the cot are linked to sleep deaths, and that is why many of these products fail UK safety rules.
