Summary
Product Safety Report for MorisMos 5 Plush Animal Set presenting a serious risk of choking due to easy access to detachable small parts.
The risk
The product presents a serious risk of choking as during the tension test, the bear eyes detached at forces less than the specified minimum of 90N. The detached components fitted wholly inside the small parts cylinder, and therefore poses a potential choking hazard to a child under 36 months. The inner flexible plastic bag used for packaging has an area greater than 100mm x 100mm and the bag thickness measured as 0.010 ± 0.002mm is less than the minimum 0.038mm specified. The bag therefore poses a potential asphyxiation hazard.
The product does not meet the requirements of the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
