What to do now

The label on Asda Frozen Crispy Hash Browns does not tell people about the milk and gluten it contains. For everyone else the product is safe to eat; for people with an allergy to milk and gluten, it is not.

  1. If you are allergic to or intolerant of milk and gluten, do not eat it.
  2. Make sure children, carers and anyone you shop for know not to eat it.
  3. Take it back to Asda and ask for a refund.

Why it matters. Milk allergy is one of the most common food allergies in children. People who avoid milk because of lactose intolerance may also react, though usually less severely.
