The risk

The product presents a risk of injuries because the cot may overturn when subjected to a horizontal force while assembled with its castors fitted. The sample examined was also found to have a sharp wood splinter on one of the side bars and an exposed rough edge, which could cause cuts or lacerations during normal use.

The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005

Action taken

The castors have been withdrawn from existing stock, and safety information provided to retailers and consumers.

Advice to consumers

The manufacturer, Babymore, has removed the castors from existing stock and future production. Retailers and consumers have been provided with updated safety information.
